Junior Web Developer

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate website developer to join us on our mission to revolutionise commerce through cutting-edge technologies, innovations and solutions. Job Purpose & Responsibilities
As a Junior Web Developer you will predominantly research, design, develop and test fault-tolerant content/ecommerce websites in line with best practices for our clients/internal projects. Development works for applications, support documentation, technical scope-of-works, pre-sales requirements gathering with clients, data migration and other development related tasks will also be required from time-to-time dependant on demands. You are continually expected to explore, innovate and present cutting edge technologies, ideas and features to senior personnel for implementation consideration. We are a strong hard working and fun team, so you must work well both in an individual and team context, adapting to and influencing team practices.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate will be a BSc Development Graduate in any subject area (games, ecommerce, general, etc) and be highly motivated, innovative, driven and focused on attention to detail. Having knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Liquid (Shopify ecommerce platform) is beneficial. Experience of NodeJS, Go, GraphQL, MongoDB, React, Kubernetes, Knative and Serverless technologies is also desired but not essential.

Continued Professional Development
Your continued professional/skills development, via ongoing in-house training and researching/investigating new relevant technologies, is very important to Dot On. We aim to lead the commerce sector so it is vital our teams skills development is at the forefront of the industry. Thus a kean-to-learn, can do, actively-learning and proactive attitude is vital.

Employment Basis
The position is full time, based in Monmouth (NP25 3EE), on a permanent employment contract at a competitive salary, dependant on experience, with pension scheme. Dot On offers excellent prospects for the right candidate within a successful fast growing company.

Other Requirements
It is essential you have your own transport and hold a full UK driving license.

As a Junior Application Developer you will predominantly research, design, develop and test full stack fault-tolerant applications in line with best practices, including their underlying infrastructures; servers, databases, platforms, etc. Upon allocation, these areas will be continually monitored/maintained and end-users supported. Development works for ecommerce/content websites, support documentation, technical scope-of-works, pre-sales requirements gathering with clients, data migration and other development related tasks will also be required from time-to-time dependant on demands. You are continually expected to explore, innovate and present cutting edge technologies, ideas and features to senior personnel for implementation consideration.
